Scott Heinecke has been conducting professional investigations since 1976 — nearly five decades of experience spanning law enforcement, private investigation, and expert witness testimony. His career began in law enforcement, where he developed the investigative instincts and procedural discipline that define FactFinders' approach to every case.
After transitioning to private investigation, Scott built FactFinders Investigations into one of Utah's most respected investigative agencies. His work spans civil and criminal litigation support, employment background screening, skip tracing, asset investigations, and witness interviews — with a consistent emphasis on source-verified, court-admissible findings.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Police Science from Weber State University and is a founding member, former President, and Chairman of the Private Investigators Association of Utah (PIAU).
